
Along with bassist Joe Rockman and drummer Tom Stephen, he formed The Jeff Healey Band. Stevie Ray Vaughan discovered Jeff, which led to an appearance with Patrick Swayze in the movie Road House. Around this time Arista records signed The Jeff Healey Band and the first album, released 1988, featured the hit single "Angel Eyes" and the song "Hideaway," which was nominated for the Best Instrumental Grammy Award. The album See The Light went Gold in the US.
