David Bowie Announces Station To Station Deluxe Edition Release Date & Tracklisting

David Bowie has announced details of the re-issue of his 1976 album 'Station To Station'. Due out on September 20, a 3CD and 5CD version will be available. Set to include the original album, 16-page booklet, postcards and a copy of the previously unreleased performance at Nassau Coliseum in 1976, the 5-CD version also includes vinyl copies of the audio plus additional extras such as a replica press kit and fanclub folder.

The Special Edition of Station To Station is a CD sized box with lift off lid which contains the following:

Elton John and Leon Russell to Release The Union

Elton John and Leon Russell's first joint album, The Union, will be released on October 19th on the Decca imprint, according to The album, which pairs Elton with Russell -- who has been and enduring influence on not only his piano playing, but much of his early songwriting -- will be produced by T-Bone Burnett, best known for his Grammy Award-winning work on Robert Plant and Alison Krauss' Raising Sand album.


Duff McKagen's Loaded to Begin Pre Production

Duff McKagen's Loaded, has issued the following update:

"We have been writing for the last few months and next week we start pre-production on the new Loaded record! We couldn't be happier and we think you fuckers will be, too!

"As it is looking, we will be recording it in August and thus begins Loaded Mach III!"

Duff McKagen's Loaded recently parted ways with Century Media Records after releasing one EP (2008's "Wasted Heart") and one full-length album (2009's "Sick") through the label.


Trent Reznor Working on Soundtrack to "The Social Network"

Nine Inch Nails mainman Trent Reznor has announced via the band's web site that he will score "The Social Network" — a.k.a. David Fincher's Facebook movie, starring Jesse Eisenberg, Justin Timberlake, and Rashida Jones.

Whitesnake Settles $40,000 Lawsuit

According to A couple claiming that a 2003 Whitesnake show caused long-term hearing loss has been awarded a $40,000 settlement by the Massachusetts Appeals Court. The suit was filed by Maryellen and Kevin Burns against Whitesnake, the promoter and venue owner, according to a report written by Noah Schaffer and published on the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly news blog, The Docket.


Ozzy Getting a Health Column in Rolling Stone

Just a few weeks after landing a gig as a health columnist for England's Sunday Times, it's also been revealed that Ozzy Osbourne will dispense the same kind of advice in the pages of Rolling Stone. The magazine is likely just reprinting the column from the Times, which Ozzy says is not meant to be taken seriously anyway: "It's not a serious thing.
