Metallica & Lou Reed Set Release Date

Metallica and Lou Reed have announced a November 1st North American release date for their joint album which they have dubbed "Lulu".


Shinedown Hit the Studio

Shinedown have hit the studio to create their fourth studio album. The effort will find the band once again working with producer Rob Cavallo, who produced their last album, "The Sound Of Madness."

"We are truly honored to be working with the legendary Rob Cavallo again," says Shinedown frontman Brent Smith. "He brings the absolute best out of us and our songs. To say we are emotionally charged to start recording the new album would be a huge understatement. Everyone hold on tight, this is going to be intense!"


Bush Announce Tour Dates

After a string of electrifying warm-up shows that included sold-out performances in New York City and Los Angeles, Bush has announced a headlining tour of North America that will kick off September 13 at the Babcock Theatre in Billings, Montana.

Like their recent packed-house performances, the shows will see BUSH tearing through a thrilling mix of classic hits and brand-new songs from their upcoming album, "The Sea Of Memories".


Motorhead Planning a Covers CD?

Motorhead frontman Ian ‘Lemmy’ Kilmister has let slip that the metal legends are plotting a covers album but he jokes which bands they actually select to cover is already causing scraps in the band as drummer Mikkey Dee is keen for Lemmy to wrap his pipes around some songs Lemmy doesn’t feel he could pull off.

Speaking backstage at the Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany Lemmy said Dee is a fan of bands which sing in a higher key than Lemmy is used to. He said:


Former Warrant Singer Jani Lane has Died

According to former Warrant singer Jani Lane was found dead Thursday evening (August 11) at a Los Angeles-area hotel. He was 47 years old.

Lane's body was discovered at the Comfort Inn hotel in Woodland Hills, California. So far, no official cause of death has been released.

In February, Lane canceled all of his previously announced solo tour dates two days before the first show was due to take place. No explanation was offered for the cancelation.


Mastodon's The Hunter Track Listing

Atlanta progressive metallers Mastodon will release their new album, "The Hunter", on September 27. The follow-up to 2009's "Crack The Skye" will be Mastodon's third studio CD to be made available on Reprise Records in the U.S. and Canada and the band's first to be issued through Roadrunner Records outside of North America.

Sean Yseult to Release New CD with New Band

Star & Dagger, the band featuring former White Zombie bassist Sean Yseult, has just finished mixing its new album, "Tomorrowland Blues", with Ethan Allen and Dave Catching at the helm. The CD will feature the original 2010 recordings from Hicksville Trailer Palace Studios and five new tracks that were laid down earlier this year at Rancho De La Luna in Joshua Tree, California.

Star & Dagger features Yseult, vocalist Von Hesseling, guitarist Donna She Wolf (Cycle Sluts From Hell), and drummer Dustin Crops.
