Ahhh...Monday...Back at it for another kick ass week. I must say I am liking the new Ozzy CD more and more every listen. You should pick your copy up tomorrow when it hits the stores or on iTunes.
As expected, in our last poll, Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven" was the better rock song taking home 70% of the votes, while Lynyrd Skynyrd had 30% with "Freebird". I enjoy both songs, but it really doesn't get any better than cranking up some Zep.
This week's poll comes from Blade (who I will get to in a minute) and the question. Which song has more balls? AC/DC's "Big Balls" with Bon Scott or Accept's "Balls to the Wall". Take a listen to both if you're not familiar and cast your vote.
Now onto Blade. We bring the guy aboard he writes one blog and then poof he's gone. So we hit him up and kept asking "Where the hell are you?" and nothing. So we figured since he was just burned out, and was basically telling us to shove it, but we were so wrong. He e-mails the office on Saturday (yes we do work on Saturdays the music biz doesn't stop for us) and says and I quote "I passed a fucking kidney stone Wednesday night-my god that shit sucked. Holy sh**." Why he bleeped out "shit" and not "fucking" I will never know. Then a second e-mail follows with and again I quote "**FUCK**" So, I have to say I was not expecting that kind of news. I honestly figured he was just going to bed at like 7PM since late for him is around 8. Now I have never had a kidney stone and God help me if I never do. Just based on that e-mail it sounded horribly painful. I worked with a guy years ago who got them all the time and he said it was the worst pain he ever felt. So with all that said he should be writing some new stuff this week. He does have some great stories to share, I just don't get his obsession with golf. I tried playing when I was younger and started getting into it, bought me a new set of clubs and they are still in the box. Never used. Maybe I could get a few bucks for them on ebay. Anyone need a set of left-handed clubs?
We will posting some questions this week to you on Facebook and Twitter, so please let us hear from you. Your feedback is always welcome. You can also e-mail me directly at Bryan@MFNRocks.com.
