Carlos is a weird interview, first of all, it's not really an interview, he talks mucho, and I like that because the less I say the better, I sound stupid in interviews, like all interviewers. All interviewers are douche's.
"Carlos how ya doin'?"
"Good. The Katrina's, tsunami's, the earth waves, the things that happen with the child molestation with the catholic priests, you know, the pope and everything...everything is teaching us how be more with integrity...and with everything happening in Arizona...everything is a soundcheck...for us to learn to walk in together and dismantle the fear of superiority and inferiority and I think most people in America would be ready to accept one love..."
You just sit back and listen.
"When I hear the national anthem, I don't like it. I'd like to see us create, or at least utilize a national anthem that doesn't talk about dropping bombs on humans. And change the tonality. The tonality sounds like someone who is drunk in a bar in London."
Allrighty then.
Well, I love the dude's old music and I've checked out the web to see his setlists so far and I am ready. Steve Winwood is opening and the Steve Winwood show I saw in April in Durham was the best show I have seen in years. This show is special, I might make it past 9:30.
